Kirill Kvasnikov
Profile
QA Engineer with 10+ years of experience in software quality assurance, test automation, and robotics. Designed and owned E2E test frameworks from scratch (Python + Playwright), coordinated testing across distributed international teams, and contributed to AI/ML sensor data collection pipelines for lidar and camera-based detection models. Comfortable taking full ownership of large workstreams, driving cross-team coordination, and stepping into interim team lead roles.
Work Experience
Contributed to the delivery of five generations of civilian delivery robots. The last two generations were redesigned and built from scratch (hardware + firmware + software stack).
- Owned E2E test coverage for daily operations: test area maintenance, safe execution, and regression suites.
- Integration testing across virtually all engineering teams: firmware, calibration, localization, perception, OS, processing pipeline, behavior stack, chassis control, neural detection, self-diagnostics, performance, remote command center, and dispatching services.
- Collected and validated lidar and camera sensor data for AI detection model training; performed data quality assessment and annotation review.
- Analyzed rosbag recordings for behavior debugging, perception validation, and incident investigation.
- Developed and maintained an E2E test framework (Python + Playwright): command center UI, three API integrations (internal dispatching, external customer API, SSH), hybrid real/virtual checkpoints, and a MITM traffic sniffer (robot ↔ control center).
- Monitored performance and resource utilization via shell tools and Grafana dashboards.
- Contributed to ultrasonic sensor integration and validation: self-resonance cutoff, firmware, signal delays, spectrum analysis.
- Validated remote-control mode: speed profiles, latency, interruptions, and reliability.
- Acted as interim team lead during manager absences; coordinated cross-team testing efforts and independently owned significant project workstreams.
- Led on-site QA operations in Dubai (Jumeirah Park Village) for commercial launch; represented QA in capability demonstrations for RTA stakeholders.
- Collected and validated lidar and camera sensor data to support AI detection model training and perception system development.
- Analyzed rosbag recordings for behavior, perception, and safety debugging.
- Participated in a major codebase optimization: ~2× improvement in resource utilization and extended battery life while preserving safety characteristics.
- R&D testing: severe weather conditions, chassis performance, city and crowd navigation, UX, crosswalk safety, and passive safety.
- Contributed to privacy data depersonalization pipelines: face and license-plate blurring.
- Contributed to heat management improvements (dissipation / cooling efficiency).
- Owned production operations for a specific location, including on-site process management.
Led QA for the rebuild of a large-scale web analytics platform (comparable to LiveInternet, SimilarWeb, Google Analytics).
- Owned end-to-end testing of the legacy analytics platform rebuild.
- Built and maintained automated test suites for anonymous cross-browser and cross-device data collection across multiple UIs.
- Rebuilt and maintained the Selenium Grid test environment.
- Performed load testing as part of the release cycle.
- Mentored junior and trainee QA engineers.
- Participated in testing the legacy analytics platform rebuild.
- Maintained legacy automated tests for cross-browser and cross-device analytics data collection.
- Regression and exploratory testing.
QA on a trading/financial platform.
- Regression testing per test suite.
- Exploratory testing.
